Is there a more beautiful place in the world? I’m starting to think not. Positano, Italy is one of those rare sites that dreams are made of. Funny story – I actually didn’t know we were stopping at Positano on my recent summer trip with my family. I knew we were heading to Naples, Italy, but I didn’t put the time in doing research on each city until I was en route to Roma. Then it dawned on me… oh my gosh, we are going to the Amalfi Coast!
I really fell in love with Italy this time around – the food, the people, how unique every little city is… But, I must say that Positano is by far my favorite. We only had a day there, so I am eagerly awaiting my next trip to this delicious little enclave of gorgeous, pastel colored buildings and a bustling coastline. A little more about my time there below and a few recommendations, and shop my outfit 🙂
A few things I’d recommend when visiting Positano.
- Wear a great outfit! You will be taking photos of the scenery and of yourself nonstop and you’ll want to look your best. I still smile looking back on these photos. I wore this adorable, lace trimmed dress by Style Stalker paired with pointy snakeskin ballet flats and my lucite, circular sunglasses.
- Frozen lemonade! Cities all over Italy claim to have the best lemons in the world, but I must say, walking around the small pedestrian streets with a frozen limnciello in hand was truly a treat. And the lemons were the perfect flavor – sour with a dash of sweet and not sugary at all – the real deal!
- Le Sirenuse. If you are lucky enough to stay here, amazing. If not, definitely make sure you stop by the hotel Le Sirenuse. It has the best view in Positano. This is where all the photos above were taken and I can only imagine this gorgeous view at sunset.
