There aren’t many things better than heading to a local park on a Summer day with a good book in tow, for me at least. I’ve always been a little bit of a words nerd – hence the fact that I am a writer, and now blogger, by trade – but as I’ve gotten older, it’s been harder and harder to squeeze in time for a good tome.
Luckily, I have a group of extremely intelligent friends who seemed equally nostalgic for a Summer reading list. Enter: book club! We’re currently reading A Confederacy of Dunces by John Kennedy Toole (which I highly recommend.)
For a long day of lounging with my nose deep in 1960s New Orleans (where the book takes place,) I wanted something sweet and pretty. The whole look is comprised of cream and nude, and the result is quite picturesque if you ask me. Especially set in the quaint Barnsdall Art Park – one of my current favorites. It’s nestled in Hollywood, but feels far away. We also shot this cute editorial there as well. On Fridays, they even have wine tasting, live music and food trucks…
Alright enough blogging for me right now, I’ve got more to read! In the meantime, shop my book club attire below. And if you feel so inclined, leave me a comment letting me know what you think. Would you want to read book reviews on here too?
