Can you ever have enough stripe shirts? The answer to that is obviously, no. I was in TOPSHOP the other day helping Cassondra pick out a suit for a wedding, and I couldn’t help but leave with this fantastic navy and white stripe tee shirt. Sometimes, we overlook the classics, and we think we have certain pieces in our closets because we see them so much online, shopping, and on Instagram. I realized that — while I have, what feels like a plethora of stripe tops– I didn’t have a great, washable basic that I could wear on repeat.
I’ve already worn this shirt 2 times in the first week, so it’s definitely a good purchase in my book! It’s been on and off rainy in LA, so this look was all about making my patent “rain boots” work with a normal look. I paired my stripes with a navy satin blazer, another vintage scarf from my mom’s collection, and cuffed skinnies.
Then, staying in my navy motif I added on my patent, waterproof booties that are the closest thing to rain boots that I own and my navy bag from Greece. The result? Comfortable, tres French, and … rain proof! Like my look? Shop my outfit and leave me a comment letting me know what you think!
