Romantic Victorian Ruffles

white lace dress with big skirt full body

I’m not sure if I’ve ever felt more… glamorous. I saw this dress and it instantly took my breath away. I’ve always been a sucker for anything lace. Add on a high low hemline, tassels, a ruffle neck, and lace-up detailing down the front and I’m basically dead. The Jetset Diaries knows how to make a good dress, that’s for sure.

I wanted to channel a Victorian feel, playing off the gorgeous, dramatic bib neck, so I decided to go with a structured, panel blazer. Something about the sharp blazer against the bohemian dress felt fresh and exciting to me. read more

Vintage Gucci

trench coat work look navy trousers 2

I thank my lucky stars all the time that my mom saved so many awesome vintage pieces for my sister and I. When it comes to fashion, shopping vintage is one of the things that gives me the greatest pleasure. And you know what’s even better than scoring a great vintage find? Getting an amazing vintage piece WITHOUT the hunt. So, thanks mom!

Gucci is dominating spring and summer — you can’t scroll through Instagram without seeing the signature Gucci print somewhere, which is why I begged my mom to turn over this vintage Gucci bowler from the ’80s. I’ve had my eye on this bag for awhile, and even got the inside reupholstered in college when my mom let me  borrow it! The bag and shoes here are the main focus (the shoes are vintage from my mom as well,) so everything else is simple and classic, perfect for a crisp spring day at the office! read more

Burnt Orange Boho

orango boho dress with bell sleeves 1

Feeling a little boho today! I recently became obsessed with this burnt orange / brown color… I love the way it compliments my hair! I think I could live in this dress from SheIn all spring. It’s light, floaty and I really adore the bell sleeves, they add a nice little ’70s touch. You should definitely head on over to SheIn to check out this dress and the other great product that they have on their site, because you get 40% off your first order plus free standard shipping!

Typically I’m not a fan of orange and back together, but I made an exception for this outfit and decided to wear my favorite black, lace up ballet flats. Also, I haven’t really taken off my new Sincerely Jules x Lionette lariat necklace, and I felt like this button-front neckline was a nice way to let the necklace have a moment. read more

Grandma-ing

patterned jacet flared jeans_2

A few years ago, a close friend of mine nicknamed me Miss Frizzle because of my penchant for out-there, grandma-esque prints. I find comfort in things that feel old. I’m not exactly sure why, but I love the idea of something that had a life before me – an item with a story, a history. While it’s not practical for me to wear vintage head-to-toe, I do seek out pieces that have an old-world feel.

This jacket, believe it or not, is from H&M. I pulled it from the H&M showroom a few years ago, and couldn’t bear to part with it. It embodies everything I love in a modern day find: a whacky print and oversized shape. I get asked all the time where this jacket is from… now I’m not sure if they’re Mean Girls-ing me, or really do like it, but because I like to think everybody is nice, I’ll go with the latter.  read more

Summer Obsession: Shirt Dresses

Look 2 - 2

Look 2 - 3

Look 2-1

Honestly – shirt dresses are the best. They’re so freaking easy and they end up looking really polished. I have a ton of them in a variety of color ways (denim, white, black …) but this striped one really stood out to me. The mix matched horizontal and vertical lines create a pattern play to the eyes. I decided to go work casual for this look, pairing it with my trusty black vest, and black and white loafer-mule hybrids. You’ll never guess where I got these shoes from… Forever 21! Go ahead, try NOT to shop them below. read more
