THE BEST, CHEAP RED LIPSTICKS

If there is one thing that has remained the same in my life over the course of almost two decades, it’s my affinity for red lipstick. There is something about a quick coat of brilliant red lacquer that can transform an entire look and attitude. Above all, red lipstick makes me feel daring and confident, and that is priceless. You know what’s even better? Finding a cheap red lipstick that you love.

Over the years, I have had reds in and out of my life. Some were just quick fixes, others stayed past their welcome (this one red matte lip I used to use I guess wore off really easily and left a red lip liner ring around my mouth, which no one bothered to tell me until I was at the post office one day…) and others have withstood the test of time. read more

HOW TO MAKE 1980s MAKEUP MODERN

Get ready, because they ’80s are going to be back in a big way this year. And, yes, that includes the infamous 1980s makeup. Blue eyeshadow, pink lipstick, and big hair (and dare I say perms?) are making their way back into fashion. I noticed the trend of an ’80s revival beginning last year with cult obsessions like Stranger Things, and knew instantly that the 80s would make it’s way into the fashion set. The ’90s have been around long enough, and I’m actually excited to play with different fashion nods to the decade that I was born in! read more

HOW TO GET THE NO MAKEUP MAKEUP LOOK:

The no makeup makeup look has been around forever, and it’s also not going anywhere anytime soon. As long as their are minimalists and French women in this world, no makeup makeup will always be a thing. And while I don’t consider myself a minimalist in any sense of the word (I’ve been trying, but my closet room begs to differ) or French (unless studying abroad in Paris counts?) I am quite simple when it comes to my makeup routine.

As I’m sure you know, nailing the no makeup makeup look is actually a lot harder then you might think. To look like your wearing little to no makeup when you actually are is a challenge and requires some skill. So, I’ve put together my top 9 tips along with my favorite products that you can shop below! read more

TRENDING: WINTER PASTEL PINK

There’s something quite refreshing about winter pastel pink, am I right? It’s flirty, fun, and unexpected. This season, I have most definitely fallen in love with pink coats! By now, I’m sure you’ve been spotting them all over Instagram and on your favorite blogs and in magazines–and for good reason. Pink coats are undeniably chic and are a great way to stand out from the sea of neutrals and checks.

A few months ago, I styled this same pink coat with a white shirt dress and red lipstick. This go around, I went monochromatic on top with a pink blouse and a pink floral scarf. Sometimes I like to go super matchy matchy and today was one of them, so I decided to match the navy in my scarf with a pair of navy trousers. What I love about this look is I can easily wear it now, and also right into spring as the temperatures start to slowly warm up. read more
