I know, I know–fishnets are everywhere. And I’ll be honest, they’re getting a tad overplayed. But, I shot this look back in February and didn’t have time to blog about it until now. While I am growing tired of fishies under jeans (unless they’re supper baggie tattered jeans) I’m still feeling fishnets under pants in the form of sporty slacks, tuxedo trousers and joggers. It’s this unique balance of spray and trashy / sexy that seems to work well together.

This look is a combination of all things that I love–it’s comfortable, it’s cool, and you can really go anywhere in it. I think I actually wore this look on Super Bowl Sunday. . .

Another thing I’ve been digging as of late is the unbuttoned button down, buttoning only the top two and letting the rest of the shirt billow free. There’s something about a peek of midriff that feminizes the outfit. It also shows off the exposed band of the fishnets, which is a fun little surprise.

On a different note, I hope you all have been following my travels over on my Instagram! In the past two months I’ve visited NYC, London, Cuba, Dubai, Santa Barbara and Palm Springs for Coachella. To say it’s been a whirlwind is an understatement, but I’ve also grown behind on my blogging. It’s also pushed me to really evaluate what I like creating and what you guys like reading. Are you still into seeing outfit posts? Or do you enjoy areas like beauty or travel more? Or perhaps, just more of a mix? Let me know in the comments below 🙂

Keeping things uber casual today. I’m still all about those ruffles–even in itty bitty form as seen here on the collar of this H&M striped top. For this look, I went with easy, high-waisted jeans, a striped top and a leather moto… aka basics. The intrigue comes with the accessories. How unique are these gold slippers? I almost feel like a genie! They have the tiniest of kitten heels which makes them super comfy too. This vintage gucci bag has been in constant rotation as of late, and i like the way the gold heels and gucci print play off of each other. Shop my entire look below! Wild Western Vibes

leather fringe jacket western look full body_1

It was a love affair at first sight with this L’Agence black, fringe, leather jacket. Funny enough, I used to not be into fringe. At least, not into the festival fringe, which I feel has been overdone for quite sometime. But then last year, something switched — I started being drawn to fringed pencil skirts and accessories. And then somehow, someway, I took a chance on a fringed jacket and never looked back.

Now, I still do believe that most fringe is no good. It can be so cheesy, especially if worn with a bunch of other wannabe festival garb. I took a Western approach with this outfit and styled this leather fringe jacket with the basics — a white tee, girlfriend jeans and classic heels — and then played up the fringe with turquoise earrings and a choker.

I’ve been digging the Western thing lately… perhaps all those bandanas I’ve been wearing have taken over my brain somehow. What do you think of this look? Let me know! xx

Camel + Stripes

Post Oscars = most comfy outfit in my closet. I had so much fun yesterday co-hosting ABC’s live pre-show, On the Red Carpet at the Oscars, along side Tina Malave. And, I’m putting together a vlog that will hopefully go up tomorrow of what it’s like to get ready for a big televised event. But now, I’m currently relaxing in my most comfy, casual outfit… stripes, jeans, and a leather jacket.

I really adore the way black and camel look together! And how cute is this wolf and lamb clutch? I’ve put together a great gallery so you can shop my look below! xx

Another Day, Another Scarf

scarf 1

This title pretty much sums up my mantra… and my style. I have been going hard on the scarf kick recently, and I don’t see it slowing down anytime soon. And, why would I when scarves are just so… awesome. Who doesn’t love a little extra flare? Personally, I love collecting them and using them to express my mood. I also like to give them names… This one I’ve deemed the “clown scarf” because it makes me feel like I’m in a circus. Blue and red is one of my top color combos, too.

Any who, I decided to pair this striped vintage scarf with basics, wearing a white button down shirt tucked into comfy black trousers. That’s really all you need when you have a festive scarf hanging from your neck! I did add on some cool, navy patent booties and pair of blue shades to finish off the outfit. If you can’t tell… blue is my favorite color <3 I actually wore this scarf with bright red pants for an appearance on the FabLife show recently, but I think I like this edgier take a little better. What do you think?

I’ve put together a shopping gallery below so you can shop my look. And as always, I love hearing from you guys so let me know what you think of this outfit in the comments below! xx
