Friday Night Inspo

full body night out suede dress with choker

Nothing says *night out* quite like a choker and high boots! I’m sure by now you are well-versed in the fact that chokers are having a HUGE moment. Small, thick, ribbon, leather… just about everyone has worn one in some capacity.

I really like the way a choker looks with a high pony. This choker isn’t actually a choker, it’s a neck scarf from the Who What Wear x Target collection. That’s the beauty of a choker, you can make one with just about anything lying around your house! I still haven’t bitten the bullet and purchased one of those tattoo choker necklaces yet… I used to rock those from Claire’s in grade school! read more

Built in Choker

My new obsession: dresses with built in chokers! This is seriously a genius idea because it looks chic and it does all of the work for you. I cannot tell you how many compliments I got on this look. The dress itself isn’t usually something I’d wear — you know I’m not a tight dress girl — but the choker was just so cool I had to give it a try, and I’m so happy I did!

Because I sometimes get self-conscious wearing super skintight dresses, I decided to add on a maroon robe coat. The important thing for me was to find a jacket I could cinche at the waist so I had a silhouette… because what’s the point of wearing something super tight if you’re not going to show off a bit of your silhouette… riiight? read more

Thigh High Boots, Enough Said.

Oh hey! You know I’m not one to dress sexy often, but I had to test out a pair of thigh high boots. I’ve been seeing them all over the place at fashion week. One of my favorite bloggers, Chiara Ferragni, wore a liquid like navy pair by Dior Couture and I was in love. However, I went for a much more budget-friendly option, these faux, suede, black beauties by Shoe Dazzle.

Thigh high boots are definitely a look, and you have to wear them with confidence, because you will get noticed. I have to say, there is something undeniably sexy about having them on – they made me feel like I was somebody else, but in a good way! I would definitely recommend trying out a less expensive pair like I did, before investing in really nice ones- because, let’s be honest, you might not feel comfortable in them. I kinda loved having them on, but have to admit that I’m not that graceful in them… yet. I wanted the top to be more demure, because I didn’t want to look like a scene out of 50 Shades of Grey.  read more
