Something about a long, flowy maxi dress always manages to make me feel glamorous. Typically, I’ve always steered clear of nudes because I feel they get lost with my skin tone, but something about this pinky, nude number really caught my eye. This nude has just enough pink to stand out against my fair complexion, and dare I say, even compliments it? I love the new take on nudes and how different brands, like Christian Louboutin, are making “nudes” in an array of different colors from porcelain to chocolate. It’s all about finding the right nude!
There are two elements I really love about this maxi dress — the racer style front (i.e.: the arms are cut in a little more towards the neck) and the rouged, tie detail in the back! A classic maxi dress doesn’t really need anything else. I decided on lace-up black, stacked sandals and a straw hat. I’ve been wanting to try out a straw hat with a rugged edge for awhile, and I’m in love!
