The weather has been so gorgeous the past few days, and it has me totally ready for the warm months ahead. I was looking at my last few blog entries, and I feel like I’m currently on a dress kick.
I’ve always had a thing for maxi dresses. They’re kind of like my rendition of a ball gown… you really can’t help but feel anything short of glamorous when you’re enveloped in yards of chiffon layers. Also, I grew up loving all things Rachel Zoe, and I always equaite maxi dresses with her effortlessly glam, bohemian style.
For this look, I wanted to create something that was fit to roam the English countryside. I have never been, and it’s on my (very long) wanderlust list, but I love the idea of being dressed prim and polished while enjoying a gorgeous setting of English cottages and flowers. This cream maxi dress is from H&M and has total Grecian goddess vibes. The gathered waist is key, because it allows me to adjust the length and create a nice shape, instead of looking like a blob. A hat was obviously necessary, but instead of wearing my go-to boater hat (I feel like you guys have seen that hat a LOT lately, sorry I just love it so much!) I went for a larger, structured straw hat.
I think every woman needs a good white or cream maxi in her closet, so I’ve put together some awesome options below just for you! Get shopping, and of course, let me know what you think of this look. xx
