Need a little outfit inspiration for an upcoming dressy event, but want to switch things up? Look no further than summer suiting. This is my go-to outfit when I want to wear something that’s masculine but still inherently feminine. And even though I’m dress obsessed, it’s nice to switch things up every once in awhile.
What I love about this is you can get creative and mix and match. I went for a white and black look, consisting of a black tuxedo shorts and a white button up. But, I wanted something more girlie then a crisp white button down, so I picked out one that has a flirty ruffle and a built-in bow tie. Have no fear, even if your button down doesn’t come with a built-in black string, you can easily grab a thin piece of black ribbon and make your own!
This look is great for a semi-formal evening dinner, or even a wedding! The options are endless, and it’s nice to have an alternative to dresses and skirts for the moments you want to feel a bit more grounded.
What do you think? Would you wear a summer formal shorts suit? Let me know!
