Styling Jumpsuits For Work

Let’s talk about one of my top styling tricks… making the sexy nighttime jumpsuit work appropriate. I’m all about maximizing great pieces in my wardrobe and I strongly believe that every woman should have a go-to black jumpsuit that’s flattering and versatile. I wore this DVF jumpsuit to my friend’s birthday sans sweater and fitted blazer, showing a little extra skin in the chest region. Now,  no one wants to risk a nip slip at work, save that for the dance floor, people (JK nip slips are never cute, invest in some double stick tape, will ya?) So, the key is layers.

For this look, I layered a super lightweight, nude sweater underneath. I’ve seen some awesome looks on pinterest where girls layer chunky turtlenecks underneath, but let’s be honest, my jumpsuit isn’t that loose lol, so for me, lightweight sweaters and turtlenecks are the way to go. I went with nude because it has a similar effect to not wearing a shirt, without risking any risqué behavior. To make the outfit more business, I added on a fitted gray blazer and a PS 1 bag. Then, for a little personality, a pair of edgy cream, printed booties.

I adore how this look comes together! There are so many different renditions of this look that you can recreate at home using items that you already have. But, if you are inspired to shop, I’ve put together a shopping gallery below!
