Peach, Tan, Camel, Oh My!

My camel craze is still in full force, I can’t seem to get enough of this great tone! I’ve always been a monochromatic dresser, you’ve seen me wear blues, whites, and blacks… but never all tans! I love pairing like colors together because it feels fresh and new, especially if the tones are slightly varied, giving the outfit dimension. It’s also a great trick to maximize your wardrobe, especially if you predominately shop certain colors.

Before I get into the outfit, I’d like to first note that I have somewhat of an addictive personality. I get hooked on things and can’t shake them for awhile. For example, I ate a peanut butter and jelly sandwich (by choice) everyday for 3 years, no exceptions. Looking back, not the most healthy decision, but hey, it’s what I wanted. I do the same thing when it comes to dressing – I wear something once, right now it’s vests and scarves, and then I can’t stop thinking about it and want to wear it everyday.

I wanted to preface you guys with that little tidbit because I am on a huge vest kick. So I’m sorry in advance if you don’t like them! I started this outfit with a peachy button up, and then layered on the tan, wool vest. I was going to do jeans but couldn’t swallow¬†the thought of peeling them off later in the day. I really despise wearing jeans in the heat. But for some reason, a wool, sleeveless vest is totally OK for me, go figure, I’m weird. I landed on these simple loose, khaki-colored shorts, which are very comfy I might add. The final touches were a no brainer – cute, snakeskin, ankle-strap, ballet flats; tortoise shades, my Mulberry bag and a top knot.

All together, I love this mix of colors and I can’t wait to see what else I can find in my closet that fits in with this color story! PS: How cute is the kitty in the window? Shop shop my outfit below – and leave me a comment!
