Ring in the New Year in a gorgeous fringe get up! I fell in love with this ’20s number the second I laid eyes on it, and I knew it was the perfect party frock for NYE. I already showed you how to do menswear for the big night, so I figured I should also show you a more girly version that you can shop last minute.
I have always been fascinated with the 1920s. My absolute favorite author is Ernest Hemingway and I have a slight obsession with reading books by him and about him (note: I highly recommend the Paris Wife, a story through the eyes of Hadley, Ernest’s long time lover.) I love to imagine what it was like in Paris when Hemingway and Fitzgerald and other legendary writers of that generation roamed the Left Bank. And, the great thing about this dress is it makes me feel like I’m there.
I went with art deco add-ons to play up the ’20s vibe. These cutaway Fendi heels I actually bought drunk in Vegas (whoops) and they give the outfit a nice sexy touch. The rest of the outfit is simple – art deco rings and a graphic clutch put the finishing touches on my look. Oh, and a sexy magenta lip!
I hope my two NYE looks have inspired you! I hope you have a wild night on the town ringing in the New Year — I will actually be bundled up in Denver, Colorado, so head over to my instagram to see what I actually wear! And, let me know what you did to celebrate (and what you wore) in the comments below! x
