All you need is a white tee.
Can I say how much I love where beauty and fashion is going right now? After years of homogenized minimalism, fashion and beauty is finally fun again, thanks to lead designers like Alessandro Michele from Gucci. Personality reigns supreme and summer’s looks are all about play–having fun with your makeup, experimenting with new colors and textures, and feeling inspired by art and nature.
When I saw Hailee Seinfeld wearing lilac purple eyeshadow on the Golden Globes red carpet earlier this year, I knew it was a look I wanted to try. We’ve seen no shortage of colorful eye makeup looks as of late–I’ve even tried out pink and blue myself–so purple seemed like the next obvious hue to play with.
I love being a redhead. I dyed my hair two years ago and haven’t looked back! It’s such a fun hair color to have, but it also requires a lot of maintenance and the right mix of products. Which is why I’m so excited to be teaming up with L’Oreal as an ambassador for their EverPure line of hair care products. Fun fact: the L’Oreal EverPure shampoo and conditioner were the first two products I bought the day I dyed my hair red. I needed to get a sulfate free shampoo that was safe for color-treated hair, and I am so happy that I found such a great, quality product so early in my red hair journey.
I know, I know–fishnets are everywhere. And I’ll be honest, they’re getting a tad overplayed. But, I shot this look back in February and didn’t have time to blog about it until now. While I am growing tired of fishies under jeans (unless they’re supper baggie tattered jeans) I’m still feeling fishnets under pants in the form of sporty slacks, tuxedo trousers and joggers. It’s this unique balance of spray and trashy / sexy that seems to work well together.
If you can’t tell, traveling is one of my biggest passions–there’s no better way to expand your mind, free your soul, and inspire your thoughts and creativity. I recently got to go on the opportunity of a lifetime, a trip across the pond to one of my fave cities in the world, London, England.
Burberry–the iconic British designer brand known for their trench coats and plaid prints–flew me out to London to get an up-close look at their newest Spring 2017 runway show along with a makeup tutorial from the lead makeup artist from the runway. We were only there for 48 hours, which is very short considering the flight alone is about 10 hours each way from Los Angeles, so I knew I had to make the most out of my time there. They put us up at the stunning Hotel Cafe Royal, which was such a fashion-y and fab place to stay. As a seasoned traveler and a bit of a Anglophile, I compiled my hit list of all the best things to see, do and eat in London in two days! Below, my 48 hours in London travel guide–enjoy!
