NYFW Style Diary

Ah, NYFW. Such a whirlwind! This was my first time just going to go to fashion week and attend shows, instead of doing interviews backstage. I actually wrote a full breakdown of my NYFW agenda over on SweetyHigh.com, so make sure you head over there so you can read the play-by-play of everything I did!

Disclaimer: I brought so many cute pieces, but ended up not even wearing what I had planned, because A) it was so damn hot and B) I got blisters the first day and literally couldn’t get my feet into my shoes. Major fail. But, I still managed to put together a few cute looks that I wanted to share with you here on my blog so you can shop away! I just joined RewardStyle, and the gallery to shop shop is below!

DAY 1:

The first day, which was the hottest, I wore my only weather-appropriate dress by Moon River, a brand I recently discovered and am now obsessed. I have been wearing this Line and Dot jacket over everything, and like the way the pattern and cutout of the dress look with the edgier, studded jacket. These patent booties were the blister culprits–but at least they look cute, right?

Day 2:

Day two I went for basics. Victorian details are going to be huge this fall, and I jumped on the trend with this sweet high neck top that I tucked into silk culottes. Oddly, I adore this embellished bag which totally isn’t me, but it makes me smile and that’s important so… I wore it!

Day 3:

And then the final day, I went with a Who What Wear x Target burgundy PJ dressed paired with a matching WWW x Target burgundy polka dot scarf. Digging this monochrome combo. I went full on Miss Frizzle with retro frames by Replay Vintage and a Gucci bag from years past from my mom! And no, my feet couldn’t take another day in heels so I opted for converse. As a short gal, I’d prefer to be in at least a chunky short heel, but it was a no go…
