NYFW F/W 2015 Diary –– Day 1

Day 1:

I have been on a real navy kick lately, so I thought, what better way to kick off one of my favorite weeks of the year with my new go-to hue? Enter: every piece of navy I could get my hands on.

Massimo Dutti top and trousers; 3.1 Phillip Lim Pashli bag; Balenciaga wallet; Mango coat

I started off my day with Noon by Noor, and I think I found the dress I want to wear next week to the Oscars –– finger’s crossed! I love the muted gray hue punctuated with those heavily embellished sleeves. After that, it was off to ICB by Prabal Gurung at The Glass Houses. I could live in every single look in this presentation. And the rug game was really strong, need all of these for my new place.

Still dreaming about this! I can’t wait to get my hands on those black and white boots. After ICB, I zipped back up to my humble abode at the Ace Hotel in Midtown, where I was greeted by a sweet treat from my dad; after all, it is Valentine’s Day.

A few chocolate covered strawberries and a quick coat change and I was out the door for Herve Leger, which was my first backstage interview of Fashion Week! Lubov Azria is always such a pleasure to interview, I never want our chats to end. We then quickly scurried downtown to ArtBeam for Christian Siriano, where I had, maybe my best celeb sighting ever? Ke$sha. So good.

New coat, same designer: Mango. Selfie in the snow with my co-worker and videographer, Thomas Beckner.

Ok, so not the best picture I’ve ever taken. But I couldn’t not share. I like her coat and sunglasses too. Now, I’m off to celebrate a great first day. xx
