I know, I know –– you’ve seen this wall a bajillion times! I think the first time I saw this wall on Instagram was on mega-blogger extraordinaire and, now friend, Aimee Song from Song of Style’s feed. I remember thinking to myself, if I had a blog I would love to shoot there. Honestly, I never thought I would have a blog, but now I do (and I’m having a blast doing it by the way) so I figured, it was time to shoot in front of the instamous Paul Smith wall. Instamous – great word huh? I hope it catches on and doesn’t die a sad death like “fetch.”
Now before I get into the outfit, I want to preface you all with something. If you follow moi on Instagram, you would know that I have this weird obsession with pink walls. Whenever I’m bored, I’ll go on pinterest and discover new walls to lust over. Dare I tempt you with these pink walls at Sketch in London?
Ok let’s talk clothes. I bought this skirt for a trip to Florence, Italy two years ago and have not worn it since. I had a meeting with my manager, and then a press preview, and a lunch, so I needed something that would work for all three. I landed on this Aztec-print skirt and wanted to play up the beautiful reds and pinks, which is one of my favorite, unexpected color combos. I decided to go for a red silk button-up, but felt like the look need a little something else. naturally, a black vest was in order, so I threw that on along with some stacked, ankle strap sandals and my Alexander Wang bag that I’m really going to replace soon because she’s getting so much wear!
All together, I love this outfit and I felt really confident in the bold colors throughout my day. It’s crazy what a dose of bright color will do for your psyche! Shop my outfit below and let me know what you think in the comments!
