I’ve come to realize that I fancy a fringe skirt. I’ve worn several here and here on my blog before, and I keep finding myself drawn to fringe skirts while I’m shopping. Clearly, this fringe skirt came home with me! I had originally planned to wear this outfit at NYFW, but for some reason I totally forgot about it, which ended up working out because I like it so much and I’m glad we got to shoot it here in LA.
I like to call this ensemble the polished hipster… Actually, the only thing really hipster about this ensemble are the hat and man loafers, but what really is “hipster” nowadays? That’s for another entry.
For now, let’s talk about this delicious skirt. I love how it’s made out of this prim and proper material, almost like a structured satin, that somehow has the rigidity of a slim fit pencil skirt. Then, there is the tiered fringe at the hem, that cuts away to expose a little extra thigh on one side. You could totally play up the sexy here, but I chose to go the daytime route and paired it with an airy, cap sleeve white mock neck tee. Oh how I love a mock neck…
I cooled up the outfit with my “hipster” accessories and then added on a red bag for a pop of color. What do you think? Like what you see? Then shop away in my gallery below, and leave me a comment letting me know what you think!
