Ah, the long holiday weekend is here! But what to wear to watch fireworks on Monday? I already showed you this gorgeous red dress look, along with a gingham pants ensemble – but in case you’re still craving outfit inspo, here’s more! I went through my archives to round up some of my favorite looks that give a nod to our country’s flag without being over-the-top.
Look 1: Casual BBQ
By day, sport your go-to white tee and denim shorts with Stan Smiths and a red lip. When dusk rolls around, throw on a red blazer for warmth and polish.
Look 2: Indie House Party
Grab a pair of white overalls (or white skirt overalls like I have on,) a striped Breton top, and a contrasting blue neck scarf.
Look 3: Preppy Poolside (or Park)
I’m not known for slipping down to a bikini very often, but I make due with off-the-shoulder tops and short shorts. Added points if there’s a ruffle! To be festive, I like white and navy.
Look 4: Picnicking
The easiest way to be patriotic is with some stripes and good old American denim.
Look 5: Denim on Denim Americana
… Or go for denim on denim! (Even though it’s technically a Canadian tux…)
Look 6: Cocktails by the Water
For an adult Fourth of July, try all white! Just beware of the sangria.
