Each year, my dad’s side of the family gets together for an annual family bonfire in Southern California. I’m not usually able to attend because of work, but this year, I was able to sneak down to Laguna Beach for a few hours – just in time to say hi to my relatives and, of course, catch golden hour.
If you’ve been reading my blog, you would know that I’m not a huge fan of the sand… or the water… or the beach for that matter. I love to look at it, but being on it is not my favorite thing in the world. That being said, it’s definitely fun to hit the sand for a bonfire bbq. I wanted to wear flowy pieces that echoed the landscape, so a light blue silk skirt and an equally lightweight, white top were a must. I typically wear this skirt with fitted tops and unitards, but I’m liking the way it looks with looser tops as well!
I have been on a hat kick for two reasons – they look good in photos, and I haven’t had time to get to the hair salon so my roots are atrocious. I’ve been loving this boater hat, I wore it here and here.
My sister is a photographer, so she helped me out with the photos this time. Laguna Beach is so darn pretty! Shop my outfit below 🙂
