My favorite part about fashion’s current obsession with the 1970’s is definitely the resurgence of camel. How did I live without this color before? Sure – camel, cognac, tan… they’ve been around forever… but I always wanted all black everything, which by the way is not a bad thing because black is classic. However, what I’ve come to realizeĀ is that so is camel.
Camel flatters so many different skin tones and hair colors, and there are so many shades to chose from! It’s actually quite remarkable how many camel colors there are. For this outfit, I wanted to do a mix of camels grounded with black.
I’ve been wearing this tan leather jacket non stop as of late, and I really adore the way this lightweight nude sweater looks underneath. This top combo would look fabulous with jeans, but I decided to go for short black dress shorts and black accessories.
The result is utterly chic and effortless. Want to know something else cool? This black Proenza Schouler bag used to be a light gray; however, over the years it oxidized to this hideous gray green. So, I took a risk and had the bag dyed black, and I am SO in love with the result! It’s like getting a brand new PS 1 bag all over again. Like what you see? Shop my closet below. And, try mixing some camels this week, you’ll love the outcome!
