My Workout Routine

I have been on a mission to get fit. I’ve been pretty athletic my whole life–as a child I was a figure skater and dancer, in high school I was Varsity Cheer Captain, in college I trained and ran the LA Marathon, and in my early 20’s, I was a committed gym rat. The lure of the gym died quickly for me with all of the cool, new exercise classes that popped up around Los Angeles. I started barre classes about five years ago and fell in love. However, I wasn’t seeing the results I wanted. Sure, I’m toned–but I needed something to take me to the next fitness level to help me reach my goals. read more

My 5 Favorite Sheer Foundations

Welcome to another installment of my weekly Beauty Edit! I am very passionate about no-makeup makeup, and I love trying out new tinted moisturizers and sheer foundations. In fact, I rarely wear medium or full coverage foundations because I like seeing skin.

I later learned that the bottle was merely travel size, but I still like to hold onto the memory that that Navy bottle was made just for me. Beauty is one of the most intimate relationships that we have with ourselves — the products that we choose to layer on our largest organ, the scent that we enjoy, a go-to hairstyle, the lip color we wear… All of these choices that we make from the millions of options that are advertised to us every single day. Navigating the beauty industry is a job in itself. What products are great? Which ones just have great marketing? And what underdogs deserve more attention? I currently create beauty videos for Refinery29, so I thought, why not start doing a beauty edit on my blog? It seemed like a natural fit. So I present to you, my skincare beauty edit. read more
