I couldn’t help but feel a bit French in this dress, don’t you agree? Like many, I’m a sucker for stripes — I seriously think I could be happy wearing a striped piece everyday of the week. The thing that drew me to this particular dress is the cut. After all, a draw string waist is a surefire way to be comfortable all day, and a floaty hem is flirty and flattering. I’ve mentioned this on my blog before, but I studied abroad in Paris back in 2008 and still cite France as my favorite country. Paris was the first European city I really got to explore and call home. Funny enough, I didn’t see a SINGLE person wearing stripes there… Just a little food for fashion thought.
Navy screams to be paired with equally bold colors, like red, hence why I added on a red and light blue silk scarf around the neck for a nautical touch. I’ve been in backpack mode recently, and this tan leather lover is a new addition. I also recently snagged these leather Soludos, which I’ve had my eye on for awhile, and I like how they are casual yet elevated.
Per the usual, you can shop my look below! I highly suggest you get a pair of leather Soludos yourself for summer! And let me know what you think of the look in the comments 🙂 xx
